2024-25 FCA Volleyball Maine

The vision of FCAV is to honor God in the ways that we practice, compete, coach, and interact with one another. We are a club that is characterized by excellence in the effort we give, our love for each other, and service to our community.

While FCAV's aim is to compete at the highest levels, our hope is to serve you, the athlete and parent, by keeping costs to a minimum. It's because of the generosity of many who financially support the ministry of FCA that this is possible. A special thanks to Eastpoint Church and the Point Community Center for helping to make FCAV a reality.

Tryouts will be held Sunday, 11/3/24 from 1-4 at The Point - 345 Clark's Pond Parkway, South Portland.

All athletes should arrive dressed in appropriate athletic attire and bring their own water bottles.

FCA Maine Volleyball looks forward to another successful volleyball season and appreciates the community's continued support and enthusiasm.

TRYOUTS:

  • Sunday, November 3rd
  • 1-4pm
  • The Point Community Center: 345 Clarks Pond Pkwy. South Portland, ME 04106
PRACTICES:
All practices during the season will be on Sundays (1-3pm) and Wednesdays (6-8pm) at The Point Community Center in South Portland.
TEAMS & COST:
The teams that we actually have depend on the crop of players we have at tryouts. Below is an idea of what to expect.
Club Costs include 2 different categories:
  • Club Fee: includes facility rental fee, coaches honorariums and travel costs, uniform package, equipment, administration, & regional tournament fees.
  • USA Volleyball Membership and Insurance: annual charge of $60 per player.

16U
Tournaments:
  •   BOSTON - Feb. 7-9 or Feb. 21-23
  •  NERVA I – Mar. 2
  •  NERVA II – Mar. 16
  •  NERVA III – Mar. 23
  •  NERVA IV – Apr. 6
  •  Rhode Island Rumble (Providence, RI) - Apr. 26-27

Cost (see breakdown above):
  •  Club Fee: $1340
  •  USAV Membership and Insurance: $60

17U - Coach Garrett Lewellen *NOTE SCHEDULE CHANGE
Tournaments:
  •  Winterfest (Hartford, CT) – Jan. 18-20 
  • AAU League Champions - Jan. 26 or 27
  •   BOSTON - Feb. 21-23
  •  AAU League Champions – Mar. 8 or 9
  •  AAU League Champions – Mar. 22 or 23
  •  AAU League Champions - Apr. 26-27 or May 3-4 Division TBA Aug. 1

To Be Decided (Pending AAU Finals Dates):
  • Liberty Challenge (Boston) - Apr. 12-13 OR
  •  Rhode Island Rumble (Providence, RI) - Apr. 26-27

Cost (see breakdown above):
  •  Club Fee: $1440
  •  USAV Membership and Insurance: $60
  • AAU Athlete Membership: $22 (Not needed for tryout. Purchase after acceptance to team)
